How do I brew with a French press?Updated 7 days ago

French press makes a rich, full-bodied cup. Use 30g of coffee to 480g of water (1:16), with water at 205 to 212°F and a coarse grind.

  1. Preheat the press with hot water, then discard it.
  2. Add your coffee and pour in about half of the water. Give it a gentle stir.
  3. After 1 minute, add the rest of the water and place the lid on without plunging.
  4. At the 4-minute mark, press the plunger down slowly.
  5. Serve right away so it doesn’t over-extract.

Clean the press and mesh after each use for the best flavor.
