What is the right coffee-to-water ratio?Updated 7 days ago

A great starting point is 1 part coffee to 16 or 17 parts water by weight. That’s about 1 gram of coffee for every 16 to 17 grams of water. Without a scale, it’s roughly 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water.

From there, adjust to your taste:

  • Want it stronger? Use a little more coffee, or a finer grind.
  • Want it lighter? Use a little less coffee, or a slightly coarser grind.
