Which coffees are low acid?Updated 7 days ago

Great question, because “acid” can mean two different things. There’s the actual pH of the coffee, and there’s the bright, tangy flavor you taste. The two don’t always match.

Here’s what we can tell you:

  • Darker roasts tend to be less acidic, but no coffee is completely acid-free.
  • Cold brew is our top recommendation for low acidity. When you mix up our concentrate, it makes a rich, smooth cup with lower acidity: https://larryscoffee.com/collections/cold-brew
  • A coarser grind and a gentler brew method can also make coffee taste smoother.

If you’re sensitive to acid, try a dark roast or our cold brew first: https://larryscoffee.com/collections/dark-roast
